Barb Smith-Morrison, Abbey Retreat Centre’s co-director (and Forest Therapy Guide) is offering a 2.5 hour guided Forest Therapy experience on the beautiful property surrounding the Abbey Retreat Centre for a group of 4-6 people. Forest Therapy is an evidence-based therapeutic practice that connects people to forest environments through gentle sensory based invitations. Core practices of Forest Therapy are embodiment through the senses, orienting to pleasure, residing in the present moment, physically slowing down, and gentle opportunities for reflection. No expiry date, arranged at a time/date between the two parties.

Our retreats and online programming offer rest, renewal, companionship, meaningful discussions, healthy & delicious food, and an introduction to research-based practices that tend body, mind, and soul. We offer our in-person and online retreats and programs at no cost to participants, recognizing there are many increased expenses for individuals and families facing cancer. This auction is part of our Haliburton Highlands Challenge Fundraiser with all proceeds going towards enhancing and expanding our cancer-support programming.
